Father's Day Time Capsule - Adult Supervision Required

Items That May Be Needed:

• Coffee Tin or other capsule like container
• Construction Paper
• Fingerpaints
• Playdough
• Coloring tools (crayons, markers, etc)
• Variety of child's artwork
• Photos of child

Instructions:

#1. Decorate outside of tin with a picture of the child. Also print "A Time Capsule For Father's Day 2007" and frame with child's artwork.

#2. Items that may be included:

• Child's Handprint (use fingerpaints & construction paper, or press into the playdough)
• Child's Footprint
• All About Me Sheet (include information about child - height, weight, age, grade in school, etc.)
• All About My Daddy Sheet (help child to write down things about their dad)
• Artwork by child - make new artwork and/or include other artwork already made

"Hooked On You" Picture Frame - Adult Supervision Required

Items needed:

• Construction Paper
• Scissors
• Child's Photo
• Yarn
• Stick (ie. small wooden dowel - to be used as "fishing pole")

Instructions:

#1. Cut out fish shape big enough to fit child's picture.
#2. Glue photo to one side
#3. On flip side write "I'm Hooked On You Daddy - Happy Father's Day - Year/Date

Photo Flower Pot - Adult Supervision Required

Items needed:

• Small Terra cotta flower pots (cheap, at any craft store)
• Paint
• Markers
• Bendable wire or pipe cleaners
• hot glue gun
• tape
• variety of photos of child

Instructions:

#1. Have child decorate flower pots with paint and/or markers.
#2. Shape wire or pipe cleaners into "stems" and hot glue to inside bottom of pots.
#3. Tape or glue photos to "stems" to look like flowers.

Pen/Pencil Holders - Adult Supervision Required

Items Needed:

• Frozen juice tins, washed out
• various shaped pastas
• silver or gold spray paint
• glue

#1. Have children stick pasta all over juice tins and allow to dry.
#2. Spray paint pasta either gold or silver.

Tie Collage - Adult Supervision Required

Items Needed:

• old magazines
• heavy construction paper or poster board
• scissors
• glue

#1. Have children cut out pictures that remind them of their father, his hobbies, etc.
#2. Glue pictures to paper to make a collage.
#3. Cut the collage into the shape of a tie.
